Hi! I’m Jesse.

I was born an east coast girl, but the mountains have stolen my heart, at least for the moment.

I have always been crafty, but I started to dabble in painting starting in early 2020. When the world seemed to shut down and I was still heading into work, painting was a way to unwind and process feelings at the end of the say. Since then, my interest in art has only grown. While I have no formal training, I come from a creative family that includes painters, writers, quilters, knitters and blacksmiths.

I am inspired by the world around me and most of my paintings and designs are created based on photographs from my travels and simple moments found in nature. My primary medium is watercolor, but I have a problem sitting still and often bounce between painting, drawing, quilting, and cross stitch projects. My dream is to quit my 9-5 and focus on artistic endeavors full time, and I hope you will join me as I discover what that means. You can follow along on my blog where I share what I am currently working in my studio (a two by four foot table set up in my living room) and Instagram

When I’m not making art or working, I love to travel with my husband and explore new places, whether hiking, camping, or rock climbing. I also have an ongoing love affair with my bicycle and traveling for cycling events. I love food of all kinds and a good glass of wine.
